Rocks. Heat. Climb hard for what.

We were a group of five starting the two-day trek up to Redmond and Terrebonne, Oregon. Spirits were high and everyone couldn't wait to get out and crush on some real rock, not plastic!

During our trip, we woke up at the early hours of 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to jump on routes we knew were going to be mobbed up by others. (It's hard to imagine, but this is what we call a 'vacation'.) Smith Rock is a sport climbing mecca. And, we wanted to maximize our time at the park before it got too hot. Speaking of weather, we took refuge under every tree we could find. Hydrating (hail hydrate!) was key to surviving the hot heat and sun beaming down on you.

Overall, we each had a fantastic time on this trip. You couldn't go wrong with the grippy volcanic rock faces, and the routes we climbed had some pretty spectacular views.

This highlight video captures most of the climbs we did during that short weekend. The Red Rascal team decided to go for a different pace and style with this video, demonstrating some editing diversity. We hope you enjoy it!
