Vertex has top rope, lead and bouldering terrain for all ages and levels of experience, as well as cardio and strength-training equipment, climbing, yoga and progressive training, and a friendly staff.
Read Moren April, we filmed the opening ceremony at the Auburn Quarry for an outdoor non-profit organization called CRAGS (Climbing Resource Advocates for Greater Sacramento). The local organization was founded in 2008 by a group of determined climbers who share a passion for rock climbing outdoors and protecting the places that have available climbing. They're affiliated with both local and national organizations such as Rocknasium Climbing Gym, Pipeworks, Constant Clothing, Access Fund, and The American Alpine Club, which are all equal advocates for preserving these places for climbers.
